This ninety-seven-page satire/comedy is meant for mature general audiences who will enjoy a comical affirmation that there is indeed life after death-even if (as for one of the characters) it is as a monkey.
This play is a lighthearted investigation into the concept of reincarnation. The setting is an indeterminate room in which several individuals are being processed for their “next” life. Among the earthly clientele are a buffoon named Spats - surely destined for hell, a Pope and two fallen angels. One fallen angel is a “Devil’s Advocate” who represents Hell, the other is repentant and trying to make it back to Heaven.
